For Lunch - Greek Pizza

The remainder of the day was spent packing + 8 more hours on the boat back to Athens.  The cabbie at the port tried to charge us 35 Euro for a ride into Athens.  Fortunately we knew better and walked down 1 block to hitch a 20 Euro ride.

Day 18 - Post Office Woes

Today started with a nice morning + breakfast on the beach

Say hello, roostie!

Greek Omellet

After breakfast, we went on a 2 hour excursion to try to find a place to mail Nora's postcards.  I should make a map of where we drove around, cuz it would be hilarious.  The first guy told us to drive to Parisa, there someone told us to drive down the road in the exact direction that we came from.  After arriving back at our starting point, we made another U-turn and went back to Parisa.  We stopped at a tourist center, and they told us we had to drive all the way to Fira.  She wasn't sure where in Fira, but she said to ask someone at the bus terminal.  Google maps didn't even know where it was.  About 6 stops for additional directions later, we arrived in front of the closed post office, but at least there were drop off slots for mail.  This is a picture of Nora realizing that she has just put all of her postcards into the box labelled for internal island mail, right next to the box for external mail.  :D

You have got to be kidding me

Casey loved this sign, but she didn't even drop me off.  I had to follow her to watch her shop.

Fish ate Casey and Nora's feet

Yep

Goats are not the 3rd fastest land animal
(Nora said captions for your pictures could not simply just describe your picture.  Now she says that I just don't get it)

Casey bought an overpriced coffee table book, but its ok, becuz we need it.

Back to V-Lounge again for another sunset

This sun goes down like every day or something

I told her that we already have this picture from 2 days ago, but she said to take it again.

Hot Spring
Our second stop was at a hot spring on one of the other islands.  The sea temps are around 75F, and the hot spring was around 90F.  There were lots of iron deposits, so the water was brown (rusty).  I'll have to get some pics from Nora.

Therasia
Our final stop was to the 2nd largest island of Therasia.  We just got some lunch on the water.  2.50 Euro Gyros... haha.  Here is the view.

Red Sand Beach
After the boat tour, we went back to the main island and rode our SUVs over to the red sand beach.  Here are some shots.
