This blog is designed to detail my adventures through Switzerland, Turkey, & Greece during late summer 2014.  The target audience of this blog is myself, so I will focus on my day-to-day experiences, writing mostly the stuff that is interesting to me.  Since others may view this blog as well, I have titled every paragraph in each post so that things normal people don't care about (i.e. what you thought of a particular airline/airport) can easily be skipped over to pick up the pieces of the story that may be interesting to you.

Purpose
I traveled to Turkey for my good friend's (Yasemin) wedding to Adam in Istanbul, Turkey.  While I am already half way around the world, I may as well get the most bang for my buck... so I scheduled some extra time to check out Greece.  The flight we booked (SFO-IST-ATH-SFO) also included a 1-day layover in Zurich Switzerland for the first leg of the trip, so why not explore!  Detailed in the blog are my travels to Zurich, Istanbul, Athens, and Santorini in that order.

Crew
I am traveling with my wife Casey and our good friend Nora.  Nora's parents will be joining us on our adventures for the last 5 days in Istanbul, and the first 1-2 days in Athens.  And then, obviously, many of the guests attending the wedding will be with us for that portion of the trip.
